Time to channel our inner Mia Dolan and Sebastian Wilder.
There’s no lie that La La Land has woken us to chase our wildest dreams and it awakened our love for theater and art. The saturated neon colors, the songs, and the dancing made us want to understand how they did the film, and the whole process of how to create a great one.
On Feb. 4, from 9:45am to 2:45pm, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will be holding Pasinaya Palihan, a whole day filled with workshops on music, dance, theater, visual arts, film, and literature held in different venues of the CCP. It is the new addition to their annual Pasinaya Open House Festival, which will be held the following day (Feb. 5).
Tap dancing lessons may not be included in their dance workshops, but CCP does offer classes on hiphop, ballroom, folk dance, ballet, and creative movement for all ages. Channel your inner Mia Dolan, and train your theater skills with workshops on musicals and life on stage. Learn a thing or two about music with lessons on classical guitar, rondalla, Philippine musical instruments, percussion, chamber music, solo singing, choir, handbell ringing, and ukuleles that will surely make Sebastian Wilder proud. Talk about finally making our La La Land dreams come true, right?
