There’s always something to do, as long as you’re looking for it. Though there are a lot of great events to attend, there are only handful of them that aren’t solely for profit. If you’re going to shell out some cash, might as well make sure it goes a long way right? Not only will you have a great time, but you’ll get to help out for a great cause too. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.
Linya-Linya, a local lifestyle brand, is hosting their first ever “Heartist Night” on Feb. 25, 2017, 6:00 PM at Cup Fiction, Katipunan Extension, Quezon City. Tickets are 300 php, inclusive of a free drink. At this fundraising gig for Kythe Foundation, there’s bound to be something for everyone, with a diverse lineup of acts, or “linyas,” if you will. You’ve got performance art by Victor Covarrubias; poetry readings by Gian Lao, Joel Toledo, Rafael San Diego, and Mikael de Lara Co; a standup comedy act by James Caraan; spoken word by Skye; and music by Cheats, She’s Only Sixteen and Autotelic to name a few.
Buy a shirt, get in for free: Linya-Linya is selling “Heartist” shirts at P500 at the event and on their website.
Kythe Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to help children with cancer and chronic illnesses. Earnings from the event including proceeds from the shirts sold will be given directly to the Kythe Foundation.
