After four EPs and the radio success of their smooth-as-hell song ILYSB and their latest single SUPER FAR (which you can stream here), LANY is on top of the world, on tour and promoting their self-titled debut album.
More importantly, they’re here for the weekend to play a few shows at Ayala Malls. It’s already a treat when an internationally known act plays one set in one venue, but several shows from the north to the south? Count yourself blessed.
The band, comprised of Paul Klein (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar), Jake Goss (drums) and Les Priest (keyboards, guitar), has actually been to the country before, having played at last March’s Wanderland Music and Arts Festival. According to the band, Manila was one of the wildest cities they’ve ever played for, so expect a repeat of the same revelry to happen this weekend.
“For me, this is what I was born to do,” frontman Paul noted during the band’s press con, when asked about the band’s success. You can hear that passion and sincerity in LANY’s album, which may as well double as a soundtrack for walking through neon-lit city streets. It’s an exhilarating emotion — something you can feel in the crowd when LANY comes out to play.
