I still wear my eight-year-old New Balance kicks. Though I’m working now, I’m still wearing the old reliable kicks I got when I was in high school because I’ve honestly never felt the need to upgrade. Until now, that is.
It’s hard to find shoes built to keep up with a fast-paced on-the-go lifestyle, and that’s where New Balance comes in. Earlier this month, the shoe brand favorite released a new upgrade to the New Balance 247: the New Balance 247v2.
You can expect nothing less of a design that makes craftsmanship and technology fit together. The New Balance 247v2 boasts an updated silhouette, a nod to both the New Balance heritage and on-the-go comfort and ease.
Now let’s talk engineering. The upper includes a single piece toebox, molded TPU eyerow (where the eyelets are!) and collar, and a sprung sock construction. Taking cue from the classic NB Rollbar technology, the 247v2 features a medial TPU stability post for stability and durability. The style offers a new midsole with a flared rearfoot, while the new outsole is both current performance aesthetic with the original 247 DNA. With this whole setup, color blocking options are available along the entire outer sole for that pop of color.
Whether you’re hitting the gym or running meetings, the new New Balance 247v2 looks promising — looks like I gotta make room for one more in my shoe closet.
The New Balance 247v2 Tritium pack is available in the following retailers: New Balance (Glorietta 4), The Athlete’s Foot (Rockwell), Sole Academy (Bonifacio High Street), SneakPeek (Shangri-la Mall), Capital (UP Town Center), Sole Mini (Bonifacio High Street), Rookie USA (Alabang Town Center, Glorietta, Marquee Mall, UP Town Center).
