Bless up, we’re getting a new Rusty Machines music video

Back in 2014, Rusty Machines released their debut EP, the instrumentally upbeat yet lyrically poignant “City Lights.” You might have seen their name come up more frequently since then, consistently gigging, even landing a spot on the lineup of this year’s Fete Indie stage.

If you weren’t able to catch them there though, you might get another chance this weekend! The boys of Rusty Machines, whom we recently featured in our batch for Fresh Produce 2017, are set to launch the music video for their newly released song What Went Wrong this Saturday at Mows.

The director behind the music video, Petersen Vargas, is known for having also been behind the critically acclaimed film 2 Cool 2 Be 4Gotten and the music video for Steady by BP Valenzuela. “Petersen has a very balanced sense of professionalism and fun,” say the band. “He knows when it’s time to get down to business while still being all sunshiney and upbeat. Sobrang saya niyang makatrabaho.” You could say the last music video the band released was the charmingly rough Forget You considering Petersen’s style as a director, we predict we’ll be getting something more polished, more cinematic.

When we asked the boys about why they chose What Went Wrong as their choice of song to make a music video for, they responded, “It’s an indication of what’s to come.” We can only guess what that means, but it sounds exciting, and their MV launch sounds like the sort of night you need to be at, to really get a feel of where this band will be going from here on out.

You can RSVP for the What Went Wrong Music Video Launch here. You can follow Rusty Machines on Facebook and Twitter.
